Well-to-Wheel Carbon Footprints

The well-to-wheel carbon footprint is an important metric for understanding the total greenhouse gas emissions associated with different fossil fuels. This metric takes into account all stages of the fuel lifecycle, including extraction, refining, transportation, and combustion. The carbon footprint of a fossil fuel can vary depending on a range of factors, such as the source of the fuel, the quality of the reserves, and the efficiency of the extraction and refining processes.

For example, some sources of oil or natural gas may require more energy to extract and refine, resulting in a higher carbon footprint. Similarly, the efficiency of transportation and combustion technologies can also affect the overall carbon footprint of a fuel.

By considering the well-to-wheel carbon footprint, we can gain a more accurate understanding of the environmental impact of different fossil fuels and make informed decisions about how to reduce our carbon footprint in the energy sector. This is an important step towards a more sustainable and environmentally-friendly future.

Carbon Intensities of GreenWave™ Marine Gasoils

CarbonSmart™ Marine Gasoil is a sustainable and environmentally-friendly fuel that is designed to minimize its carbon footprint. This is achieved through the use of carbon credits, which offset the carbon dioxide emissions produced from burning the fuel. By using this innovative and effective method, CarbonSmart™ helps to lower the environmental impact of maritime transportation and meet the growing demand for low-carbon marine fuels.

In addition to its environmental benefits, CarbonSmart™ also appeals to customers who are looking to make responsible choices in the fuels they use. By choosing CarbonSmart™, companies can demonstrate their commitment to sustainability and reduce their carbon footprint. This is an important step towards creating a more sustainable and environmentally-friendly future for the maritime industry.

CarbonSmart™ Marine Gasoil is just the beginning of our efforts to promote sustainable fuels. The company is also in the process of constructing a state-of-the-art CnLH Fuels Refinery Complex, which will further improve the sustainability of its fuel production processes. By investing in sustainable technologies and fuels, we are helping to drive the industry towards a more sustainable future.

CarbonSmart™: Low-carbon Marine Gasoil, Powered by Nature-based Carbon Credits

GreenSea™ Marine Fuel represents the next step in our commitment to sustainability and reducing the carbon footprint of marine transportation. As the premium version of CarbonSmart™, GreenSea™ goes even further in its efforts to minimize its environmental impact.

The well-to-wheel carbon footprint is an important metric for understanding the environmental impact of fossil fuels. This metric takes into account all stages of the fuel lifecycle, including extraction, refining, transportation, and combustion. The carbon footprint of different fossil fuels can vary depending on a range of factors, such as the source of the fuel, the quality of the reserves, and the efficiency of the extraction and refining processes. For example, a typical marine gasoil has a carbon footprint of approximately 95.1 grams of CO₂ per megajoule.

To achieve carbon neutrality, this fuel production process will generate or acquire the same amount of carbon dioxide per megajoule used to produce GreenSea™ Marine Fuel via Carbon Credits. This helps to ensure that the fuel has a net-zero carbon footprint and is therefore an excellent choice for companies that are committed to sustainability and reducing their carbon footprint.

By investing in sustainable technologies and fuels like GreenSea™, we are helping to drive the industry towards a more sustainable future. This is an important step towards reducing the carbon footprint of marine transportation and combatting climate change.

To achieve carbon negativity, a portion of the carbon dioxide emissions from the production process will be captured and converted into methane through a process called methanation. The resulting methane will then be pyrolyzed into hydrogen and solid carbon black. The hydrogen will be used to produce synthetic crude, which will then be used to produce ZeroMarine™.

The solid carbon black that is produced as a byproduct of this process has a range of valuable uses and will be retained in the earth’s lithosphere. This makes the synthetic crude, and its derivatives like ZeroMarine™, carbon-negative, meaning that the production and use of the fuel removes more carbon dioxide from the atmosphere than it emits.

ZeroMarine™ is not only an excellent choice for companies that are committed to sustainability and reducing their carbon footprint, but it also aligns with global efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and combat climate change. By choosing ZeroMarine™, customers can be part of the solution and not the problem when it comes to their marine fuel choice.

This is an important step towards reducing the carbon footprint of marine transportation and mitigating the impact of climate change.
